A little bit of Cath

This week a customer sent me a cut of Cath Kidston London Scene canvas (cotton duck) to use in a pram liner order. I decided to be a bit cheeky and ask to be paid in left over fabric. Lucky for me the customer agreed!

With some of the fabric I made a small project bag... open and boxy with little handles. I used a remnant piece of striped canvas for the lining, and because both fabrics are so stiff I did not need to add any interfacing between the layers.

Its perfect to tote around a knitting or hand stitching project. My sock WIP is currently in residence.

With the remaining cut of Cath fabric I stitched up a simple tote bag. This time I used some 'Ta Dot' fabric to line and added a layer of wadding to stiffen the sides and protect the contents.

Its a good size for books or a lap top, or even to hold a craft project.

Oh - nothing like a bit of Cath love and I am a sucker for anything blue and red. Smart move to be paid in fabric!
