Rising Sun Outfit

Well its been a week or two since my last blog entry, but not from a want of sewing. Rather its been because of too much sewing. However, that's a very nice place for a crafty person to be in. Over the next couple of days I will have a blog catch up so you can all see what I have been up to.

Now that the weather has turned a little cool my little man, George, needed a couple of pairs of long pants. I made him this pair from a cheery cotton in wavy orange/brown/yellow stripes and then decided to try applique on a t-shirt. I pondered for a few days over the design as I wanted something striking but simple (I am still a bit of a novice when it comes to applique). Eventually the idea of a sun came to me, it seemed to suit the oranges in the cotton fabric. I love my shining sun design, but dont look too cloesly at the applique!
